THE PROBLEM
Families Were Left on Their Own
When someone you love dies – or when a parent needs to move out of the home they’ve lived in for 40 years – the logistics are overwhelming. Who clears out the house? Who runs the estate sale? Who handles probate? Who moves the furniture? Who knows what the antiques are actually worth?
Most families start from scratch. They Google. They ask neighbors. They call companies that don’t call back. They hire someone who turns out to be wrong for the job. They lose time, money, and emotional energy they don’t have to spare.
We know this because we’ve seen it happen hundreds of times.
WHERE WE COME FROM
Built by a Family That Does This Work
Modern Aging was started by a mother-and-son team. Our mom has spent years working directly in senior move management, helping families move, downsize, and close out homes – handling everything from sorting through decades of belongings to coordinating estate sales, cleanouts, and the final handoff of keys.
Along the way, we kept hearing the same thing from families: “I didn’t even know companies like yours existed. How do I find someone like you in my city?”
That question stuck with us. The professionals exist. Estate sale companies, move managers, appraisers, cleanout crews, estate & probate attorneys – they’re in every major city. But there was no central place for families to find them. No directory. No trusted starting point.
So we built one.
